Cold porridge as my daughter describes it is perfact for summer time. It’s fresh but filling, and offers an array of important nutrients. I make this one for all the family (kids are curretnly 1y, 3y and 5y). This recipe feeds a family 🙂

Ingredients

  • 9 red scoops of oats (each scoop is about 20g)
  • 2 tins of mandarins in juice
  • 1 packet of raspberries
  • 1 packet of blueberries
  • 4 dessert spoons of chia seeds
  • Milk (I use milk fortified with vitamin D)

How to make it

  • Add all the ingredients into a large container. Pour the milk on top till you can see it (similar to pouring milk on top of cereal).
  • Mix it altogther and store it in the fridge overnight.
  • Eat cold the next day with some Greek yoghurt.

  • 400-500 calories
  • >7g fibre
  • >20g protein
