You can book a consultation with one of our Registered Dietitians, either in person at one of our two Dublin clinics or online via video call, whichever suits you best.

FAQs

What happens during a dietitian consultation?

An initial consultation will take up to 55 minutes and includes:

A complete assessment. You will be asked about medical and family history, medications, supplements, physical activity levels, previous blood results and your current diet.
A printed body composition analysis and interpretation (not available via video consult)
A dietary plan based on the above information which acts as a starting point to guide you in a healthier direction

Review appointments are scheduled for 25 minutes, and are generally arranged every one to six weeks.

Can I claim dietitian fees on my health insurance?

All Orla Walsh Nutrition Dietitians are members of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute and registered with CORU. Therefore, clients will be entitled to make a claim from their private health insurer.

Receipts can also be used to claim for health expense relief via the Med 1 Form.

What is the Orla Walsh Nutrition cancellation policy?

As a courtesy to the Dietitian and other clients, if you need to cancel or change an appointment, a minimum of 24 hour notice is required. Any cancellations completed with at least 24 hours notice prior to a consultation will not incur a charge.

If you do not cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged for the full price of the consultation.

How much does a dietitian consultation cost?

If it’s your first appointment, please book an Initial Consultation.
The cost of an Initial Consultation is as follows:

If you are an existing client and would like a follow-up, please book a Review Consultation.
The cost of a Review Consultation is as follows:

Can I book an appointment for myself and my partner?

Yes, we see many couples in our clinic.
We offer longer appointments for couples, with a Longer Initial Consultation lasting up to 85 minutes and a Longer Review Consultation lasting up to 55 minutes.
