❤️ Not only are they made from heart healthy ingredients (pecans & chia seeds are excellent at lowering cholesterol).

💩 They’re great at keeping you regular. Chia seeds, dried fruit & the overall fibre content keep things moving.

What’s more…

🩸 Figs are a plant source of iron. By blending the fig and providing vitamin C source, you’ll absorb more of the iron. An ideal snack when pregnant!

And

☑️ They are antioxidant rich – fruit, nuts, seeds & cocoa are all terrific sources of antioxidants.

Ingredients

  • 200g pecans
  • 200g dates
  • 200g figs (cut off the stalk)
  • 4 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

How to make them

  • Put all the ingredients into a food processor. Blend it well. You might need to add a drop of water if it’s not mixing easily.
  • You can flatten the mixture into a baking tray covered in parchment. To do this simply lob everything onto the parchment, and using a separate small sheet under your hand, squish the mixture flat.
  • Then place in the fridge for an hour. After an hour you’ll be able to cut them into squares and transfer to an air tight container.
