Crumble… Sort of!

Ingredients for the fruit layer

  • 750g bag frozen berries
  • 3 small apples chopped
  • 1 dsp chia seed
  • 2 dsp honey/ agave syrup/ maple syrup

Ingredients for the crumble bit

  • 240g oats
  • 2 heaped tbsp nut butter e.g. peanut, almond, cashew
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 6 egg whites (I bottle a bottle)
  • 2-3 heaped tsp cinnamon (can omit if you don’t like it)

How to make it

  • Empty the bag of berries into a large baking tray with the 3 chopped apples, honey and chia. Mix together.
  • Then in a bowl mix the oats, nut butter, honey, egg whites and cinnamon. Layer on top of the fruit.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees fan, 180 degrees conventional, for 30 minutes.
  • Serve with some 100g yoghurt.

Other ways to eat it

You can use frozen cherries and pear. Then add almond butter instead of peanut or cashew, some almond extract and consider adding some flaked almonds too.
